Diamond Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Carol Augustine) Denison of Iowa, La. will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a reception at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 at White Oak Park, hosted by their family and friends. Their children and spouses are, Cathy Denison-Robert (Jody) of Westlake, La., Carrie Savoy (Kevin) of Scott, La., Carla Denison of Iowa, La., Carmen Denison of Iowa, La., Christi Fontenot (Mike) of Roanoke, La., and Charlotte Adney (Bill) of Woodville, Texas. Fred and Carol were married Sept. 8, 1962 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fenton, La. They are proud grandparents of 11 grandchildren; Devin Wicke, Lexi Savoy, Lance Savoy (Kirsti), Joshua Cormier, Cyle Denison, Kaylee Fontenot, Brett Fontenot, Traci Fontenot, Gabriel Adney, Zachary Adney, and Jason Adney. Fred and Carol are also great-grandparents to seven great grandchildren; Leighton and Halle Savoy, Hagen, Kase, Madden, and Henley Leger, and Myles Adney.
Fred and Carol love their family, God, people, and their community. As servant leaders they guide others, are mentors, coaches, and are true role models. They have made substantial contributions to farming, ranching, rodeo, 4-H, and sports in Southwest Louisiana. Since 60 years of marriage is rare, they feel their family is truly blessed.
