Mr. and Mrs. Melward (Lena Breaux) Doucet Sr. of Welsh will celebrate 70 years of marriage with a private family gathering. Hosts are their children and spouses, Cindy (Allen) Porche of Houma, La., Melward Doucet Jr. of Welsh, Vickie (Phil) Hebert of Welsh, Bobby (Bridget) Doucet of Welsh, and Ramona (John) Chapman of Orlando, Fla. Melward and Lena were married, Jan. 27, 1952, and have 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
