Alison Elizabeth Cox and Samuel Joseph Kuhne, both 19, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. May 27, 2022, in the Historic Cash & Carry Building.  Delphiniums, hydrangeas and champagne roses surrounded the couple in their evening garden themed ceremony along with friends and family who traveled from Washington, California, Missouri, Texas, Georgia and Wyoming to encompass the couple with love. The bride hand-made her wedding dress over the past year using lace curtains from her great-grandmother with hand-sewn embellishments and other sentiments

Officiant of the double ring ceremony was the bride's uncle, Ben Meyers Sr. 

Both graduates of Alfred M. Barbe High School, Alison and Sam are students at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La. and expect to finish with their degrees in business.

Alison Elizabeth is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Amanda) Cox of Lake Charles, and Samuel Joseph is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl (Anne) Kuhne of Lake Charles. 

The bride is the granddaughter of Juanita and Vern Morgan of Lake Charles, Jerry Cox of Lake Charles, Karl and Elizabeth Backman of Honolulu, Hawaii and the late Lyndel Backman Fehl.

The groom is the grandson of John and Grace Kuhne of St. Louis, Mo., Ron DesHotels of Sunset, La., and the late Vivian DesHotels.

Maid of Honor was Andie Breaux and bridesmaids were Alicelynn Wadzeck, Ella Kuhne and Maren Kuhne.

Flower girl was Summer Meyers and ring bearer was Emmett Michael. Best Man was Camerson Hickerson and groomsmen were Ian Cox, William DesHotels and Koehn Farrel.

After a honeymoon in San Antonio, Texas, the newlyweds will reside in Ruston, La.
